Strawberry Festival

Strawberry Festival will return in 2022! Please check back next year.

The Strawberry Festival is held each year on the first weekend in June. This year the dates are June 5th and 6th 2021. Hours are from 10am – 5pm each day. The Strawberry Festival is expected to draw at least 40,000 visitors and will showcase at least 125 food and craft vendors.

All Kimmswick businesses and restaurants will remain open, but vehicle traffic will not be allowed in town between the hours of 8am – 5pm. Parking will be at Windsor Intermediate and High School campus on Highway 61/67 for a small fee. Bus Shuttles will run throughout the day to bring you back and forth. Handicap parking spaces at the Windsor Elementary School in Kimmswick are very limited. There is also parking at the two fields on each side of Hwy K and you can walk in from there. Weather permitting, of course.

Please remember a lot of walking is required for this festival on uneven grass and asphalt surfaces.

The Strawberry Festival will be bursting with fresh strawberries, strawberry shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry cheesecake, and strawberry iced-tea. Enjoy your favorite festival foods, too, like kettle corn, shish kebobs, funnel cakes, onion blossoms, BBQ, hamburgers and hotdogs and roasted corn on the cob along with many others.

AB/InBev products will be served at 3 sites within the festival. Persimmon Ridge Winery along with Small Batch Winery will be in the park by the Band Stage. Gene Tiuis with The Retro Band will be entertaining our visitors on Saturday and the Exit 180 band will be playing on Sunday. Rockin Robin will be spinning some tunes at the City Hall lot in town. We are also very happy to report that KBDZ- 93.1 Radio will be doing a live broadcast from 10 am to 1pm both days and will feature the DJ’s from their station. The station will also have hundreds of giveaways so please stop by the tent at the entrance of town at Beckett and 4th Street!

Right next to that Booth will be the City of Kimmswick Information Booth, if you have any questions those folks will be there to help you out. The Famous Kimmswick Strawberry Jam, “the only original jam” will also be sold. We have a limited supply and this tasty jam always sells rather quickly so make sure you stop by and purchase some.

The City will also be holding a raffle for a Bud Light Seltzer Corn Hole game donated by HW Herrell Distributing. Tickets will be on sale for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Need not be present to win and Drawing will be at 4pm on Sunday June 6th.

There will be craft booths, home and garden vendors, a children’s petting zoo, bounce houses and pony rides for kids. Booth space is still available and we are looking for sponsors to help Kimmswick showcase its community spirit at Strawberry Festival. You can call 636-464-7407 or go to www.cityofkimmswick.org to get an application or find out more information.
