Kimmswick offers a chance to step back into the less hurried days of the 1800’s. Enjoy a walk through a beautiful town with many one-of-a-kind shops that will inspire you. The cordial atmosphere of our restaurants will remind you of a time long past.
With more than 25 shops and restaurants already, Kimmswick is growing and adding more shops all the time. If you would like the brochure for the town you can download it here. As can be attested with a stroll through the historic town many of the shops occupy, and have restored, shops from the time the town was founded in 1859. We're getting a head start on celebrating St. Patrick's Day this year with Kimmswick's St. Paddy's "Pot of Gold" beginning March 1st! This year we have 4 "pots of gold" up for grabs. More "gold", more chances to win! Register for your "pot of gold" at any participating merchant between March 1-18. Find a "pot of gold" on display at The Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery, Dough Depot Cafe, Delta Queen Port of Call, or Smokee Robinson's Cajun Smokehouse. Winners will be selected on March 22nd. May the luck of the Irish be with you!
Kimmswick’s 2nd Annual “Happy Tails” Pet Fest
Join us from 10 am to 4 pm on April 28th for a full day of Pet-Centered Activities! Bring your favorite pet, or visit one of the many rescue organizations and find your own “Forever Friend”!
The 2018 Strawberry Festival will be held June 2nd and 3rd. Festival Admission is free.
The big draw to this festival is the popular Original Kimmswick Strawberry Jam that sells out nearly every year. This delicious Jam sells for $7.00 a pint and will only be sold at the entrance of town at the intersection of Beckett and Fourth streets.
There will be over 200 craft, food, vendor and corporate booths. All of our wonderful shops and restaurants will be open and will be selling strawberry themed items.
Bring Dad to Kimmswick on Father’s Day! Treat him to Lunch, Shopping and Enjoy the Cars,Trucks, and Motorcycles on Display! Fun for the entire family! D.J. and other activities. Open to all makes and models of Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles!! Trophy presentation at 3 pm.

Kimmswick was established in 1859, and shares a rich history here in Jefferson County. The Kimmswick Historical Society and the Kimmswick Merchants invite you to join us on Saturday, September 15th to learn more about this quaint river town. Because we all love Halloween and what woman doesn’t like getting “All Dressed Up” for a “Fun Night Out on the Town with her Girlfriends”, all while supporting a great cause! So, dust off your hats and brooms and throw on your best “Witchy Wear”, and join us for a spell out on the town!

The Kimmswick Appplebutter Festival is the last full weekend of October. The Apple Butter Festival is the largest celebration Kimmswick has annually drawing over 100,000 visitors. Come enjoy the small town ambiance, stroll through our streets lined with 500 – 600 food, drink and craft vendors. Also enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the town including bluegrass, country rock, and dulcimer music.
Calling all "Deer Widows", send the men off to the woods and start your "man free" weekend with us in Kimmswick! When the guys go hunting...the girls go shopping! Girls "bag" your own "trophies" in Kimmswick and get a head start on your holiday shopping.

Make a $1.00 donation to support the Kimmswick Visitor Center, and receive a Shopping Passport that will give you discounts and free gifts at Participating Merchants and Restaurants throughout Kimmswick. With each purchase made during the weekend, you can enter to win a "Bucket of Bucks" Gift Basket, on Display at the Kimmswick Visitor Center. Some lucky winner will win "Big Bucks" in Gift Certificates for Kimmswick Merchants! Santa will host a tree lighting ceremony and the streets will be alive with strolling carolers and entertainment throughout. Many shops will be serving refreshments and offering holiday sales, so make your list and check it twice then head to Kimmswick for this fun-filled family event and wrap-up your holiday shopping early this year.

The Cookie Walk is a “not to be missed” event! The walk offers cheer for the entire family with a festive holiday atmosphere and the collection of more than 2 dozen treats! With your ticket you’ll receive our 2018 “sweet treat” recipe book and a gift bag and map to collect your goodies! Tickets will be on sale, SOON!
This weekend we also celebrate our Christmas Festival! The town’s historic buildings are decorated in Christmas attire; there are strolling carolers, carriage rides, along with many other festive activities. Luminaries will light your way as you stroll the streets; shops are open late (until 9 pm on Friday & Saturday). Restaurants too will have extended hours as well.
