Kimmswick offers a chance to step back into the less hurried days of the 1800’s. Enjoy a walk through a beautiful town with many one-of-a-kind shops that will inspire you. The cordial atmosphere of our restaurants will remind you of a time long past.
With more than 25 shops and restaurants already, Kimmswick is growing and adding more shops all the time. If you would like the brochure for the town you can download it here. As can be attested with a stroll through the historic town many of the shops occupy, and have restored, shops from the time the town was founded in 1859. We're getting a head start on celebrating St. Patrick's Day this year with Kimmswick's St. Paddy's "Pot of Gold" beginning March 1st! This year we have 4 "pots of gold" up for grabs. More "gold", more chances to win! Register for your "pot of gold" at any participating merchant between March 1-18. Find a "pot of gold" on display at The Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery, Dough Depot Cafe, Delta Queen Port of Call, or Smokee Robinson's Cajun Smokehouse. Winners will be selected on March 22nd. May the luck of the Irish be with you!
Kimmswick’s 2nd Annual “Happy Tails” Pet Fest
Join us from 10 am to 4 pm on April 28th for a full day of Pet-Centered Activities! Bring your favorite pet, or visit one of the many rescue organizations and find your own “Forever Friend”!
The 2018 Strawberry Festival will be held June 2nd and 3rd. Festival Admission is free.
The big draw to this festival is the popular Original Kimmswick Strawberry Jam that sells out nearly every year. This delicious Jam sells for $7.00 a pint and will only be sold at the entrance of town at the intersection of Beckett and Fourth streets.
There will be over 200 craft, food, vendor and corporate booths. All of our wonderful shops and restaurants will be open and will be selling strawberry themed items.
Bring Dad to Kimmswick on Father’s Day! Treat him to Lunch, Shopping and Enjoy the Cars,Trucks, and Motorcycles on Display! Fun for the entire family! D.J. and other activities. Open to all makes and models of Cars, Trucks and Motorcycles!! Trophy presentation at 3 pm.

Offering about 1200 freshly dug and bagged plants featuring approximately 90 different daylilies. This is a great opportunity to purchase both new and older varieties not available for sale in nurseries or garden centers. Some pre-bagged collections are available at a reduced price and you may receive a discount on large purchases. A free page of planting and growing advice is also available.
This is the 19th year for the sale and it often sells out so be sure to arrive early for the best selection. Some varieties are in limited supply.
Proceeds benefit the Kimmswick Visitor Center.
Join us July 20th thru the 22nd for our sizzling sidewalk sale! Participating Kimmswick shops will be lining our great streets and offering tons of DEALS!
Keep your eyes on the pies and join us for the 8th annual Kimmswick 5K! Run though historic Kimmswick and along the Mississippi River, the Anheuser Estate, and the Windsor Harbor Bridge (the oldest known wrought iron bridge in Missouri). The Blue Owl's famous Levee High Apple Pies will be awarded to the top overall male and female finishers, and fresh fruit pies will be awarded to the top three in each age group. The Levee High pie contains 18 hand-peeled and sliced apples and is smothered in a rich caramel, pecan topping. Hang around post-race for attendance prizes, refreshments, and a 50/50 raffle, music, shopping in Kimmswick and more!

The Kimmswick Appplebutter Festival is the last full weekend of October. The Apple Butter Festival is the largest celebration Kimmswick has annually drawing over 100,000 visitors. Come enjoy the small town ambiance, stroll through our streets lined with 500 – 600 food, drink and craft vendors. Also enjoy lots of live entertainment throughout the town including bluegrass, country rock, and dulcimer music.

When the boys go hunting… the Girls go Shopping! Bag some bargains in Kimmswick this weekend. Passports offering discounts from shops and restaurants are available for a small donation. This year the merchants are supporting a local food bank to provide those in need with food for the holidays. Please bring a can good donation to the Visitor Center and receive a shopping passport. Or make a cash donation at any participating merchant to receive a Deer Widows shopping passport.
Get into the holiday spirit by enjoying the town's festive decorations and special events. Santa will host a tree lighting ceremony and the streets will be alive with strolling carolers and entertainment throughout. Many shops will be serving refreshments and offering holiday sales, so make your list and check it twice then head to Kimmswick for this fun-filled family event and wrap-up your holiday shopping early this year.

Old Fashioned Christmas Festival & Kimmswick Cookie Walk
November 30th, December 1st & December 2nd
Historic buildings will be decorated in Christmas attire. Carolers, carriage rides, and other activities. While luminaries will light your way through Kimmswick during our annual Christmas Festival Shops will be open late: 10am – 9pm.on Friday & Saturday. Sunday 10-5 pm.
Restaurants are open extended hours.
Old Fashioned Christmas Festival featuring:
-Carolers, Entertainment, Santa Claus
-The Historic Burgess How House, circa 1840 will be decorated and Open during the Festival weekend. Listen as members of the Kimmswick -Historical Society share the history of this Log Home. Tours are free.
